The Eyes Are The Windows Of The Soul

The old proverb, “The eyes are the windows of the soul,” contains a powerful truth.  Our eyes reveal whether our souls are spacious or cramped, hospitable or critical, compassionate or judgmental.  The way we see other people is usually the way we see ourselves.  If we have made peace with our flawed humanity and embraced our ragamuffin identity, we are able to tolerate in others what was previously unacceptable in ourselves.

O Dia Das Crianças

This boy comes to us via Sao Paulo, Brasil.   Ready for anything!

They have a holiday in Brasil that celebrates children.  What an amazing concept!

O Dia das Crianças is everything you’d think the holiday would entail. A day off of school (and a day off of work for grown ups!), presents, celebration, music, games. It’s like one big birthday party for all the kids in the country.   Everyone gets to be a kid and, as an adult, you get to revisit your childhood every time there is a child around.

I am officially starting this holiday in my household!  I hope it spreads worldwide!

Girls Make Passes at Boys Who Wear Glasses

This is what the fashionistas like to refer to as Geek Chic, that has recently taken over Hollywood and beyond.

Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lada Gaga, and every other trendsetter on the planet is rockin’ the reading glasses.

I have no doubt that this little dude started the trend on the playground!

We love him!

Salut To The Capitaine

I find this little boy to be so dignified and quite beautiful.  Not enough of our little men wear little ties, and I find this look to be so debonair!   Extraordinaire!!!!!!!
